Pre-Nursery, Nursery, Kindergarten, Grades I and II:
No formal examination is conducted in these classes.
Pre-primary children at Arqam Public School are continuously assessed by their class teacher throughout the year, using a range of methods, to give a clear overall picture of how they are progressing at the Middle and End of the academic year.
The informal assessment is based on the skill of the child in addition to its regularity.
Grades III to VIII:
From classes III to VIII, exams are conducted in two terms, First Term and Final Term.
Two tests will be taken before each exam, and average marks of these tests will be included in First Term and Final Term exams.
As a rule, every student is expected to take all tests and examinations. No retest or re-examination will be allowed for the students being absent during the fixed schedule of examinations for any reason.
Minimum passing marks are 40%.
Grades IX & X:
Only those students of class VIII will be eligible to be promoted to class IX who get at least 60% marks in Science categories.
Students of classes IX and X must pass the Preliminary Exams with at least 60% marks in each subject.
